The DIRECTV on the Go app is a companion to your DIRECTV satellite service. Use the app to watch Live TV and recorded shows, catch up on the latest movies and shows with On Demand, and schedule recordings on your DVR—no additional equipment needed, at no extra cost.
It's easy to watch more than just your favorite TV shows with On Demand. You can choose to watch the latest movies and shows, including movies in HD and some with free-to-air broadcasts.
You'll need to have a residential account with DIRECTV to watch live TV or recorded shows. You'll be asked to sign up for a free account if you don't have one. You'll also need to have a broadband connection. The more shows you watch, the more you'll be charged. The cost depends on your subscription plan.
The DIRECTV on the Go app is compatible with the following TV sets:
- TV sets with Wi-Fi capability
- All new DIRECTV TV sets
- All new DIRECTV cable TV sets
- All new DIRECTV satellite TV sets
DIRECTV Customers with a non-cable TV who want to use the app will need to have a broadband connection. Customers with a cable TV who want to use the app will not need to have a broadband connection.
